Our NE based client are actively looking for Laboratory Technical Specialist (Petrochems Quality).

Duties for this position will include :-

-    Carrying out project work to facilitate set-up for new testing / contracts and systems
-    Providing technical Quality support to labs and advise on quality / technical issues (including CCLAS / LIMS / UKAS)
-    Training Analysts and other technical staff to help ensure full compliance within laboratory operations
-    Understanding analytical / physical ASTM / IP test methods used in petrochemical labs
-    Carrying out Internal Audits on a regular basis (this will require travel to other UK sites)
-    Acting as company representative during External Audits
-    Promoting Quality improvement initiatives
-    Supporting Laboratory Managers / Supervisors as and when necessary
-    Producing KPI data for laboratory feedback reports

Candidates should note that this position can be based in the NE or East Yorkshire.

Applications are invited from candidates with a BSc / MSc in Chemistry, or related subject, together with a thorough understanding of ASTM / IP Test methods and experience of setting up and maintaining Laboratory Quality systems in a petrochemical laboratory environment

This is a permanent position, offering a salary of £28,000 - £32,000 + Company car + bonus + benefits
