Our client, a leading international biotech organisation is currently seeking to recruit a Downstream Production Team Leader.
 
In this challenging role you will be responsible for developing, optimising and scale-up purification strategies for the production of biopharmaceuticals including but not limited to proteins, DNA and viruses. You will recruit and train team members, undertake project planning, design experiments, operate bench/pilot scale process and there will also be a requirement to scale-up/down and for the technology transfer of processes either internally to the manufacturing group or externally, to and from third parties.
 

It is envisaged that the successful applicant will be educated to degree level in a life science or equivalent experience and possess extensive experience downstream processing and process transfer experience within a cGMP biopharmaceutical or pharmaceutical production environment working with protein and peptide purification and clean up.  Previous team leading/management experience is required as is experience in product/process development for regulatory approval and the ability to manage, design and execute experiments in an effective and timely manner.

Role: Permanent
Salary: to £35K + bens + bonus
