Temporary Scientist I Technical Development - 3 months contract (Extension possible)

Located in East Anglia, our client is a large multinational Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology company. The company specialises in pharmaceutical and therapeutics research, clinical supply, development and manufacture.  They are currently seeking a Scientist for their Technical Development team (temporary).
 
In this challenging role you will be assisting in the development or carrying-out work to support process development for this Biotech facility and the following:

Developing new methods and applying them in order to support process development.
Providing scientific and technical expertise to support development projects and site goals
Execution of complex development or analytical tasks.
Actively participating in project team meetings.
Maintenance of comprehensive records of work performed.
Complying with regulatory requirements and corporate policies and goals.
Reporting project progress to project leader or a more senior scientist.
Working with a project team and sometimes with other departments, such as EHS, QA and Production, presenting results.
Work supervised but work independently within your field of knowledge.
Prioritise and organise time to meet short and medium term deadlines.

The successful candidate will be:

Educated to Degree level in Chemistry or relevant subject or equivalent experience.
You will be able to demonstrate competent use of necessary methods.
Experience in chemical process development and Scale-up/Pilot plant
Good communicator Team player
Problem solver
Analytically minded
Computer literate
Effective communication skills

Desirable

Experience of any of the following techniques HPLC, GC, FTIR, SDS, PAGE would be an advantage.
