PhD Bioinformatician - Machine Learning - R - Bioconductor:
Are you an experienced 'PhD' computational biologist with proven machine learning experience?

A global, bio-pharmaceutical organisation is on a quest to find an ambitious Computational Biologist to join their established data analysis division. Utilising your strong mathematical & statistical background, you will be responsible for the development of bespoke machine learning algorithms and the creation of statistical data analysis methods to enhance existing workflows.
Working in close collaboration with multidisciplinary R&D groups, you will be expected to utilise your bioinformatics expertise in providing statistical advice and new machine learning strategies to customers across both the academic and pharmaceutical sector.
This rare opening would suit a highly motivated computational biologist / biostatistician with proven exposure in the implementation of machine learning techniques for biomarker identification and genomics experiments. You will be well versed in the latest statistical and large scale data analysis methods, with hands-on programming experience in MATLAB or R/Bioconductor. Previous exposure to analysing high throughput genomics, genetics, proteomics or next generation sequencing data would also be highly advantageous.
The ideal candidate will be educated to a PhD level in bioinformatics, computational biology or quantitative discipline. He/she will have prior commercial or post-doctoral experience, developing machine learning approaches and computational methods for high-throughput genomic R&D projects.
