Product Evaluation Engineer, Product Testing Engineer - 9 month contract - South Wales Cardiff

A respected and innovative medical devices company based in South Wales Cardiff are looking to take on a freelance Product Testing Engineer/Product Evaluation Engineer for a 9 month freelance contract role.

The core function of the Product Testing Engineer is to advance the success of the New Product Developments (NPD) function. The Product Evaluation Engineer will be responsible for creating documentation and conducting the tests to support Product Testing activities within the NPD function. As well as certifying valid and accurate data is collected and documented during validation and verification activities.

Essential Duties:

*Construct design verification protocols and reports.
*Perform product testing - extended life, reliability
*Part take in NPD reviews, present results and progress summaries
*Ensure translation of intended clinical usage and environmental conditions into quantifiable engineering terms
*Risk management and Failure Mode and Effective Analysis (FMEA)
*Review and contribute to design input documents
*Ensure integration between Product Evaluation Product Testing and NPD teams

Essential Knowledge, Skills & Duties

*Graduate or equivalent - Science, Engineering, Technology
*Demonstrable applicable experience - Medical Devices, Quality Assurance, Product Testing, Product Evaluating

Experience and knowledge of:

Test method validation
ICE 60601
Reliability testing
Packaging and Life Testing
Statistical analysis
Sterilisation
Electrical or mechanical or quality engineering
Risk Management
Radio-Frequency (RF) technology
FMEA - Failure Mode and Effective Analysis
