Job purpose: To provide technical, analytical and problem-solving expertise necessary to support the management of the Supply Chain and customer related operational quality activities. To actively participate in continuous improvement activities.
Key accountabilities

Enact the Quality Management System necessary to ensure compliance on behalf of the Supply Chain.

Provide quality support for the In Process Controls and Product Release Systems necessary to maintain product compliance in accordance with Customer Specification.

Provide the customer interface for quality issues including management of customer complaints, product specification controls and change activities.

Provide the Operation Quality technical interface between Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Systems and Regulatory Compliance when establishing quality systems and product / process improvements.

Investigate non-compliance situations to establish root cause and support the operations team in the implementation of appropriate CAPA.

Provide the support for the implementation of process and product quality reviews, and assess the effectiveness of resulting corrective actions and continuous improvement recommendations.

Maintain an up to date knowledge of quality tools & techniques and problem solving skills necessary to lead and facilitate product and process improvements.

Provide support during customer audits, including co-ordination of the resulting audit report in conjunction with Quality Systems department.

Manage internal and external Quality Projects as required.

Key attributes & competencies

This role requires the quality technical expertise in the support and management of activities to meet work requirements, implementation and control of the quality system, influencing skills, the ability to develop and improve own skills and those within operations teams and the ability to lead and participate in activities to meet and exceed customer requirements:
Educated to degree /HND standard (desirable)
Previous experience of Quality Assurance (desirable)
Problem solving tools and techniques experience (essential)
Excellent interpersonal skills (essential)
Awareness and understanding of Quality Management Systems i.e. EN ISO 13485, 21 CFR Part 820 (essential)
Knowledge of GMP techniques (essential)
