Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
This truly global corporation renowned for offering innovative products to both the life science and medical imaging markets is continuing to expand and develop its already highly successful business.
They are now looking to recruit a highly experienced mechanical engineer to develop innovative design solutions for electromechanical detector assemblies, providing planning, engineering analysis, prototyping, reliability and verification testing. The role will also involve:
- Providing 3D CAD models of complete designs
- Analysing and validating material selection, tolerances, and manufacturability
- Driving the development of prototypes, performance and verifications testing.
In order to be considered for this role you will have a degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent along with in depth experience in mechanical designs of assemblies, which includes mechanical housing and electronics components. You will have working knowledge in mechanical analysis, simulations and thermal designs plus experience with design for manufacturing. Knowledge of UL/IEC standards will be required as will as project leadership experience. You will have excellent communication skills and be a keen team player.
