The main purpose of the role is to facilitate the smooth running of the factory, on both a day to day and long term basis. To lead and manage a site manufacturing team.
Duties Include
* 'Walk the floor' of the production area to understand the start-up position
* Review documented site handover from previous shift
* Brief Team Managers regarding upcoming activities
* Attend daily Operations review meeting with Team Managers
* Attend daily site Operations review meeting with peer group
* Analyse the day's productivity and performance information
* Document the shift handover and pass over to the oncoming shift
* Attend weekly site Operations and variance review meeting with peer group
* Chair improvement action team(s) inc Health & Safety
* Review recruitment, development and performance management requirements
* Audit GMP levels and review meeting quality within reporting structure
* Attend monthly area Health & Safety inspections & meetings
Person Specification
Degree in Food Science or Food related degree
Extensive management experience in food manufacturing
Knowledge of GMP, audits and Health and safety
New product development experience
