Sales Specialist - Mass Spectrometry - Cambs to NWUK - To £40K
Worldwide scientific instrument manufacturer is looking for a Scientific Sales Specialist to cover from Cambridge to the North West of the UK to sell its range of laboratory and scientific equipment to the scientific community.
This new and exciting Sales Specialist role is focusing on Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, Food Industries, Academia and Chemical laboratories and our client operates out of prestigious offices in the UK with manufacturing facilities in Europe and the USA.
Offering products such as Mass Spec, Raman Spectroscopy and XRF, a range of products to suit many Life Science and Analytical Science applications are available.
The successful person will work with senior management to develop a business plan with clear objectives and initiatives for the territory and seek out potential purchasers in all areas of industry and academia in the territory.
They will be professional and present convincing commercial and technical sales arguments with integrity in highly competitive sales situations along with following up sales opportunities with tenacity and a dogged commitment to achieving success
It is expected that they will take responsibility for the complete project sales cycle from initiation through to completion, arrange eye-opening instrument demonstrations, attend and assist in organising product road shows, scientific meetings, conferences and exhibitions and effectively manage relationships with existing customers and assist with post-sales activities.
The ideal person will have some relevant post graduate experience with a good knowledge of Mass Spec and a clear understanding of the UK academic and industrial markets along with a proven track record in sales.
A PhD or equivalent in a relevant life or analytical sciences subject is essential along with a full UK driving licence. You mist be free from visa restrictions and be able to travel to the USA and Europe.
