An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Research Scientist to join a leading drug discovery at one of their sites based in Germany. As a Senior Research Scientist you will report directly to the research Group Leader and you will focus on drug discovery research and pain models. You will be responsible for designing and developing in vivo pain related animal's models and you will also supervise technical staff to execute in vivo studies. You will be expected to deliver pharmacology data and to provide scientific expertise both internally and externally. The successful candidate must be able to develop methods and techniques to provide reproducible data and they are expected to maintain a sound and up to date scientific knowledge in this research area.
To be considered for this position you must hold a PhD in a relevant life sciences subject such as biology or pharmacology. This educational background will be coupled with a minimum of 3 years' experience in industry or academia for relevant research. Candidates must have a strong knowledge of biomarker discovery specifically in the therapeutic areas of inflammatory and pain research. You must have extensive hands on experience in conducting animal models for inflammation and pain. Candidates with experience in visceral pain research would be very highly regarded.
