The position is ideally based in Northern Ireland but there is a possibility of this being based in Manchester also.
Working on large biomarker projects, mostly in Oncology. Possibility of work being published through internal research.

Actively take part in ensuring that all bioinformatics analyses and data handling processes required for a competitive and comprehensive data analysis service are in place and function properly.
Define and implement protocols and workflows in order to improve consistency and efficiency of data.
Identify, propose and justify projects and activities directed towards improving consistency and efficiency of data analysis.
Plan and document work/projects and ensure that activities are scheduled to provide accurate and timely results.
MSc or equivalent in relevant scientific subject.
Looking for strong Bioinformatics Scientist with experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams involving bioinformaticians and biologists,
Detailed knowledge of methods used in functional biomarker discovery using high throughput data.
Experience in two or more scripting/programming languages including: Perl, PHP, R/Bioconductor or Matlab.
