Principal R&D Engineer - Medical Devices - Galway - up to 70k€
Global leader in medical technology seeks Principal R&D Engineers to focus primarily on novel opportunity identification, investigation and prototype development. The role includes the following:
Continually identify and assess opportunities for device, technology & process development.
Work from basic clinical need through opportunity assessment and device concept to prototype.
Effectively represent the company while interacting with physicians to distil their needs into product requirements and concepts. Provide leadership in technical innovation across the department.
Strong proven track record in innovation and project / program management
Minimum of 8 years' experience in regulated environment.
Medical device and product development experience required.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Business / finance / regulatory / marketing qualifications or experience a benefit.
Qualified to degree level (min) in engineering, science or related discipline
