Green Concrete Project
We are seeking a number of highly experienced and motivated individuals to join a University- based, internationally leading multi-disciplinary research team working at the forefront of research on materials for sustainable construction. You will be based in Aberdeen and work in collaboration with other members of the Consortium involving teams of researchers in Scotland and Qatar.
The focus of this work will be to investigate, develop and test novel approaches to improving and extending the functionality of some commonly used concrete products, to decrease energy use in the construction and operation of buildings in hot-humid climates. In addition, the Green Concrete Project encompasses the investigation and development of novel low carbon cement formulations, novel cement production processes and use of a range of novel and recycled concrete aggregates.
The following positions are currently available:
• School of Engineering – Project Manager (ENG007A)
• School of Engineering - Research Fellows (ENG008R and ENG009R)
• School of Natural and Computing Science - Research Fellows (NCS022R and NCS023R)
A sixth Research Fellow position will be advertised separately through another collaborating Scottish University. The Project also includes a number of PhD studentships.
