Experimental Physicist - Scientific Research - Cambridgeshire
A cutting edge Scientific Research organisation, based in Cambridgeshire, is currently looking for a number of highly educated and experienced Physicists to work on very advanced products and complex physics based problems. You will be joining a team of very intelligent and respected Physicists working on micro-mechanical, piezoelectronic, fluidic and optical devices that will aid the scientific and healthcare community.
You will be working within a team of highly educated and experienced Physicists who have specialist knowledge of micro-mechanical, piezoelectronic, fluidic and optical devices. They are looking for Physicists with specialist knowledge in these areas to complement their skills, ideally you will have a particular interest in sensing and actuation technologies, fluidics, optics / opto-electronics.
To be successful in this role you will have a high understanding of one of these fields, with a broad knowledge of the others. You will deal with clients so ideally you will be able to translate Physics into lament terms when discussing your work. Due to this if you already have been in a client facing position this would be very helpful, if you have not you will receive training and mentoring.
Due to the importance of this role, in the company, you will need to hold a 1st or 2:1 degree from a high ranking University, ideally a Russell Group University. You will also need to have straight A's at A-Level. It will be highly advantageous if you also hold a relevant PhD.
The ideal candidate will have worked for a consultancy firm previously, however knowledge of micro-mechanical, piezoelectronic, fluidic and optical devices is the more important requirement.
