Human Factors Medical Device Design Engineer - Ergonomics - Cambridgeshire

One of the world's leading Medical Devices Consultancy Organisation, based in Cambridgeshire, is currently looking for numerous Medical Devices Human Factors Design Engineers to join their Human Factors Team. There are a number of positions available and the team will specifically assist with the design of Medical Devices for a number of key clients. The product design will specifically relate to the Human Factors of the Medical Device. You will work very close with the R&D division to make sure Human Factors regulations and standards as adhered to.

You will be working within a team of Medical Human Factors Specialists and Product Developers on a wide range of Medical Devices. You will be based on site in Cambridgeshire dealing Drug Delivery, Diagnostics Equipment and Surgical products. As you will be working within an ISO 13485 environment and due to this you must have worked on the Human Factor Design of Medical Devices.

One of your roles will involve assisting the organisations consultants and Human Factor Specialists identify new Medical Devices ideas and opportunities, be they new products or expansion of existing Medical Devices. Due to this you will need to have worked to Medical Devices Human Factors regulations in your current position.

While working for a Medical Devices Engineering Company you will get access to some of the best training available and work alongside some of the best minds. You will be working very close with internal and external clients from director level to assembly line level so you must have good communication skills, both written and spoken.

This position will give you freedom to manage your own workload to achieve success on your projects and to hit set deadlines; this is an ideal role for someone with excellent self time management ability.

You must hold a 1st or 2:1 degree in a Medical Devices Design related field from a leading University. You will ideally also hold a Masters or PhD within a human factors, ergonomics or ethnography subject. If you do not have your education within these areas they you will need Medical Devices Human Factors experience specifically working on New Product Design.
