Excellent opportunity to join a small team that are working in a highly innovative and concept driven technology centre. The centre provides collaborative partnerships between industry, academia as well as public and private sector to develop technological understanding and develop products.

There are 2 openings to join the Sustainable Processing team as Senior Microbiologists.

Job Description

The position is to provide technical leadership and practical microbiological skills across a range of projects. You will help define experimental programmes and take a lead role in execution and delivery.

The team are specifically interested in candidates with a background in Bioleaching - academically (i.e. PhD or postdoc projects) or industrially gained.

Person Specification

The role will be research driven and so you should have a strong academic background in microbiology (ideally a PhD).

The team work specifically with bioleaching and microbial biotransformation techniques so would be very interested to see candidates with relevant experience from this field. You should also have a breadth of general microbiological skills.

You should be able to take the initiative with your own projects and take a lead role in their execution.

Industrial experience would be prefered, but if you are a PhD grad who has experience in Bioleaching we would be very interested to hear from you.
