
Freelance Medical Affairs Manager -12 months - Switzerland
JOB SUMMARY
A Global Top 5 pharmaceutical company has an exciting opportunity for Freelance Medical Affairs Manager with experience in Medical Affairs to be an integral part of their Therapeutic Area Global Medical Affairs Team. You will be working for a global Pharma company and there is an excellent day rate on offer of up to 1000 CHF per day for the right candidate.

This role will be based in Basel, Switzerland

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
*Assuming the medical affairs lead (strategic direction, data generation, data dissemination and Key Opinion Leader development) for a brand or a therapeutic area.
*Identifying and developing key international opinion leaders (KOLs)
*Influencing the development/updating of international therapeutic guidelines to ensure optimal product positioning within the medical marketing strategy
*Contributing, through medical expertise, to any appropriate external action with Regulatory, Drug Safety, Health Economics, Public Policy to ensure proper product labelling, reimbursement and funding
*Leads medical meetings for all affiliates to ensure Global alignment, takes part in country reviews, RIM. Collect Medical quarterly updates from countries, provides constantly updated Medical Plans and Q&A documents to all affiliates
*Providing medical input into lifecycle plan, strategic launch plans, global business / marketing plans
*Responsible for the post registration medical strategy and budget within Lifecycle Team
*Developing and supervising the implementation of the global post registration clinical trial program (phase IIIB- IV)
REQUIREMENTS
*MD with sound clinical practice in the relevant therapeutic field
*Preferably several years of professional experience, within the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in a medical marketing function at a global or country level
*Has developed and implemented Clinical Trials
*Track record of running Medical Advisory Boards
*Experience of liaising with other internal departments e.g. Regulatory, Drug Safety, Clinical, Development
*Solid experience of writing Clinical Publications
*Experience of managing Key Opinion Leader relationships
