
The Company:
My client are a large manufacturer of speciality gas products based in the West Midlands, they are currently looking for a laboratory analyst to join their team as part of a short temporary contract. This role will serve as a 1-3 month contract but could go potentially go permanent. This role is an urgent requirement.
This role is ideal for somebody who has unfortunately been made redundant or unemployed recently and wants to keep their CV fresh whilst looking for permanent opportunities.
The Role:
The role will involve the analysis of inorganic gases, mainly the analysis of Co2 however some analysis of other substances will be required. You'll be expected to analyse 30 samples per week in accordance with the demand of clients. You'll be expected to calibrate various types of equipment and work with forms of electronic analysis.
You'll be working with an up to date LIMS system and other well trained members of staff.
The Skills:
The suitable candidate should have a HNC in Chemistry or a closely related subject, as this role is temporary industrial experience is required. The ideal candidate will have worked with inorganic or organic gases previously, however due to the urgency of this role, this is not essential. As the role is a short temporary contract it would be advantageous if the candidate lived locally to the area.
Unfortunately due to the nature of this role it is not suitable for a fresh graduate or a trainee.
