Microbiology Researcher - UKAS - Food Microbiology - Surrey - Permanent - £17-19.5k

Our client is a global food company. At their modern facility in Surrey they are currently looking to recruit a Microbiology Research Scientist with UKAS experience to work within the Bioscience & Microbiology Research facility.

You will be required to work within a team of Microbiologists within the lab in accordance with UKAS guidelines. Excellent communication skills are essential, as is the ability to prioritize work and ensure that all work undertaken is adequately reported.

Your daily duties will typically include:

·Designing experimental trials to meet customers' requirements
·Carrying out experiments and keeping appropriate records
·Reporting on results obtained in the form of written reports and/or presentations, as required
·Maintaining laboratory working standards
·Media preparation and quality control, as required by individual projects
·Calibration and routine maintenance of analytical instruments and other aspects of laboratory maintenance

To be considered for this opportunity you will be able to work under minimum supervision and should be able to design experimental trials according to standards. You will possess relative experience working in a UKAS Microbiology laboratory. Experience of analytical testing would be advantageous. You will also be qualified to a minimum of HNC level in a Pharmaceutical/Life Sciences/Food sciences etc.

Salary £17,000-19,000 + Company Benefits

42 Hours per week (Mon-Fri).
