The focus of the role is to be Subject matter expert in ISO 14001 and Health & Safety; thus allowing the Facilities Manager to focus on strategic elements for the site. The role will provide increased depth of experience and cover for the Facilities Manager and will also act as a strong 2nd in command

Skills and Experience
14001 delivery experience - must have
IOSH membership - must have
Team management experience - must have (could be a small team)
Face to Face with External Auditors - must have, and could be lead on

Confident and persuasive - able to present confidently to all levels
Focused on improvement and problem resolution
Flexibility of style
Credibility with Senior Managers and external bodies
Able to facilitate teams, projects and meetings

Numerate with experience of managing contractor costs and project budgets

Qualifications
Negotiation with Contractors - must have
Face to Face with Regulatory bodies - EA & HSE -must have
COSHH experience - must have
Experienced in communicating with all levels - CEO to shopfloor - must have
Project delivery experience - must have
Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA) - nice to have
Emergency response and planning - nice to have
Likely to be Graduate or HND level (or equivalent) in engineering or technical discipline
