We are currently looking for a Biomedical Scientist with ideally a background in Haematology and Biochemistry to work for a leading private healthcare provider based in Cambridgeshire.

Our client is a rapidly growing diagnostic veterinary pathology laboratory looking for a motivated, full time, multidiscipline scientist to join their friendly team.

The ideal candidate will be organised, efficient, with an eye for detail and a passion for learning. They will have a BSc in medical science or equivalent and must have experience with assessing blood film morphology. HPC registration is not a requirement.

The role will cover many disciplines including haematology, biochemistry, coagulation, endocrinology, transfusion, microbiology and specimen reception.

Duties include running Advia 120 haematology analyser, Olympus biochemistry analyser and Immulite analysers; including maintenance and trouble shooting, evaluating blood films, performing coagulation tests and urine analysis testing as well as QC monitoring, and data entry.

Salary will depend on experience. Working hours are 37.5 per week between 7 am and 6 pm and include some Saturday work and bank holidays on a rotational basis
