Process Development Senior Technician / Silicon Materials / Oxfordshire / 6mth fixed term contract / up to £32k + end of contract bonus

Our client is an innovative materials company that has developed unique silicone anode technology that will offer a significant step forward in the performance of Li-ion batteries.

The Pilot Scale production rigs at their facility in Oxfordshire are critical to the development of the product and the prime purpose of this role is the safe and reliable operation of the Pilot Rigs and Sample Material finishing. This role also supports the development of Process Technology by monitoring scale-up experiments and equipment trialling and optimisation and the successful candidate will bring experience in pilot plant operations to the team.

Additional responsibilities will include the monitoring and control of the conditions of the laboratory, material store and environmental abatement facilities at the site and carrying out designated analytical methods, such as ICP, TGA, SEM and others.

As part of the Pilot Production team the successful candidate will play a significant part in allowing production at the facility to move to 7 day 12 hour (or 5 day 16 hour) operations, increasing production and process development capability.


Experience, Skills and Qualifications Required:

- HNC/BTEC or Degree in Engineering or Science based subject

- Experience of working in a chemical laboratory environment

- Previous experience with strong acids and hazardous chemicals at a pilot scale

- Experience working in a process development and manufacturing scale up environment

- Proven ability to work on collaborative projects in fast acting and results driven environment


Salary up to £32k in line with experience + end of contract bonus



This role will initially be offered as a 6mth fixed term contract. There will be the potential for further extension / becoming permanent
