Our client is a leading provider of research tools to support the development of personalized medicines.
The Company’s proprietary virally-mediated gene-engineering technology enables any endogenous gene in a human cell-line to be altered quickly, reliably and without introducing unwanted and confounding genotypes and/or phenotypes. Using the technology, the company has developed mutant and normal) cell models, which are the world’s first source of genetically-defined and patient-relevant human cell lines.
To support the continued expansion of the company, they are looking for additional members to join their Technology Development group.  The group is responsible for improving and evolving the gene-editing platform to make the production of custom isogenic cell lines more efficient.
We are seeking scientists with experience in molecular biology and genetics:
·    Degree educated or equivalent with up to 3 years laboratory experience.
·    PhD with appropriate practical experience.
The ideal candidate will have:
·    Extensive molecular biology experience including recombinant DNA cloning, nucleic acid  isolation, PCR and Q-PCR
·    A good understanding of genetics and gene regulation
·    Experience of cell culture (good aseptic technique)
·    A knowledge of gene targeting is ideal but not essential
 You will join a team responsible for research and development activities focused around new and improved methods for gene-editing using their proprietary platform. The development and investigation of novel concepts to enable increases in efficiency and productivity and the implementation of successful improvements into the current process. Additional training will be provided as required
You will be motivated, a team player, and have excellent communication skills, attention to detail and excellent record keeping.
