Postdoctoral Fellow
Immunology
A postdoctoral research fellow position is available in the Department of Immunology at the City of Hope Beckman Research Institute. The research project will focus on grant-funded research projects involving fungal immunity, vaccine development, as well as molecular diagnostic methods for microbial and other diseases. Research will involve immunological methods as well as analytical biochemical and bioanalytical approaches.
Minimum Education and Skills Required for Consideration:
• Candidates, who have completed a PhD or equivalent degree (e.g. doctor of science, or Dr. rer. nat.) and have obtained experience in the research areas described above, are encouraged to apply
• A preferred candidate should be profoundly knowledgeable in molecular biology and biochemistry or chemistry, as well as in animal experimentation (mouse), and analytical HPLC and mass spectrometry.
• Additional knowledge in the fields of immunology, in particular in pathogen-host-interactions is preferred.
