Already established as one of the fastest expanding and most highly respected biotech companies in the UK, our client has developed an enviable reputation for quality across its entire business model. They have three successful divisions and now wish to expand their diagnostic biomarkers division through the recruitment of an experienced Manufacturing And Supply Manager.

In this newly created position, you will have overall responsibility for managing the ongoing contract manufacture of our client’s proprietary molecular diagnostics system. This will include the manufacture of the units themselves, the manufacture of the assays and all the sample preparation. None of the manufacturing is carried out in-house, so you’ll be working very closely with the companies tasked in these various areas. You’ll also ensure that all stock is in place on site, so you’ll liaise with suppliers as well.

You’ll almost certainly be qualified to degree level in a life science, and ideally have exposure to molecular biology/diagnostics. IVD exposure would be particularly attractive, though not essential. However, you will need project and programme management experience within a life science product manufacturer and possess the gravitas to work at senior level with external organisations. It is envisaged that as expansion continues, there will be a requirement for the recruitment and management of a small team. Needless to say, you’ll possess outstanding communication and presentation skills.
