Job Description: Our client is involved with Point of Care testing.
The Director is responsible for establishing the company as the technology leader in Point Of Care (POC) diagnostic products (e.g. whole blood testing biosensors for glucose, ketones, creatinine, lactate, etc.) that will be used in critical care, radiology, and nephrology specialties. The territory focus will be Africa, Middle East, India and Australia. Key responsibilities include: build the International network of Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs); develop, define, and implement clinical protocols for evaluations and clinical trials; manage and monitor International studies; and ensure a continuing pipeline of publications, presentations, lectures, and posters on the results of studies. Other responsibilities include: organize, support, and present workshops, seminars, training, and education for customers; provide KOL feedback on company products, potential products, and competitors; and provide the company with advice on medical/regulatory issues. This position requires 50 – 60% travel throughout the International territory to present at meetings and seminars and to develop and manage KOL relationships.
Essential Skills: Candidates must have a PhD or be a qualified physician. Candidates should also have worked in a biomedical laboratory. Previous relevant experience is essential. Language skills relevant to the territory would be most helpful!
Salary: £64 – 83,000 + bonus + package
Location: Within commuting distance of Runcorn, Cheshire or Frankfurt
