Pharmaceutical Analyst- Northern Ireland
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Pharmaceutical Analyst to join a leading drug discovery company in based Northern Ireland. As a company they have a strong portfolio of products and develop a vast range of innovative drugs for a variety of treatment areas. As a Senior Analyst you will be responsible for carrying out analytical projects to GMP requirements whilst reporting directly to the Team Leader. You will manage a small team of analysts and technicians and ensure that all work in the department is carried out accurately. Specifically you will develop and verify methods for material testing, maintain work flow records, review analytical documents and advise staff on troubleshooting methods. You will be expected to delegate and monitor work on a daily basis and to liaise with other departmental staff such as formulation development staff and also external clients.
To be considered for this role you must have a minimum of a BSc in a relevant subject such as Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry or Biochemistry. This educational background will be coupled with previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry analysing drug products and in a GMP or GLP environment. Candidates must have experience in a range of techniques including HPLC, GC, dissolution and stability testing, and method development and validation for HPLC and dissolution.
