Electrochemical Biosensors Scientist - MATLAB or C++ - Cambridgeshire
A Specialised Medical Devices company, based in Cambridgeshire, are currently experiencing an exciting period of growth. Due to this they find themselves needing to recruit an experienced Research & Development Scientist to work on Electrochemical Biosensors, specifically using either C++ or MATLAB to process large volumes of experimental data. You will be working as part of a specialist Medical Devices team in the development of life saving Medical Devices.
Your main role will include working on the collation and management of very large data sets using C++ or MATLAB. You will also be involved with the design of new chemical sensors and the integration into existing Medical Devices. As the product is a Medical Device it will be highly advantageous if you have worked within an environment run to ISO 13485 quality standards, however the C++ or MATLAB experience is more important.
If your software knowledge is more in C++ than MATLAB this is fine as you will be given time to get your mind around the MATLAB programming. The majority of work you provide will be in MATLAB.
The successful candidate will hold a PhD in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering or Biology. You will also ideally hold a 1st or 2:1 degree in a field that involved working on Chemical Sensing or Biosensing.
