Working for a leading contact lens company the role will involve the method development and validation of GC and HPLC methods for analysis of organic and silicone materials (predominantly monomers and macromers) to support the R&D group. Project work supporting R&D initiatives will also be a key area of responsibility. The ideal candidate will have experience in method development and validation for analytical techniques for HPLC and GC, in accordance with FDA guidelines and cGMP and knowledge of silicone chemistry.
To be considered you must have previous experience working within an analytical laboratory and a proven working knowledge of GMP is essential; experience of working to FDA standards preferable. You will have a minimum of BSc in Chemistry or similar and ideally a higher degree. In addition a high level of experience working with at least GC and HPLC method development and validation is required and previous experience of working with methacrylate type monomers and/or silicone monomers would be advantageous.
