Medical Scientific Expert - Global Medical Affairs - 6 Month Contract
I have a great opportunity for an experienced Medical Scientific Expert to work for a reputable Pharmaceutical Company based in Basel with excellent daily rate.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful Medical Scientific Expert will be responsible for providing medical and scientific input and expertise into Hypertension or Heart Failure Global Medical Affairs teams and other brand related functions from pre-launch through the whole life cycle.
*Key activities related to planning, execution and reporting of Global Medical Affairs studies and ensures timely and on budget delivery.
*Development of study related documents (e.g. concept sheets, protocols, case report forms, data analysis plan, study reports, publications).
*Development of presentation material for study related advisory boards, investigator meetings, protocol training meetings.
*Ongoing review of clinical study data, final analysis and interpretation, in collaboration with: the Brand Safety Leader, appropriate Global Clinical Team (GCT) members and the GBT (Global Brand Team).
*Serve as a disease area scientific and medical expert in the fields of Hypertension and/or Heart Failure for internal customers/stakeholders.
*Build a highly influential medical and scientifically based platform
*Provide medical scientific input For the assigned program/brand
*Development of Clinical Development Plan (CDP section related to MA activities)
*Guidance and development of local MA clinical programs and provide support in execution
*Support in providing input into brand safety related activities for the assigned program.
The successful Medical Scientific Expert will:
*Be an MD (Medical Doctor) or hold a PhD with unique knowledge in Hypertension or Heart Failure for successful clinical program development and execution.
OR:
*Be a Board Certified MD in Cardiology, Nephrology or Internal Medicine. Or equivalent.
AND:
*Have 3 years of clinical research experience required.
*Advanced medical/scientific writing and communication skills.
*Proven ability to work both independently or in a cross functional
team setting, including a matrix environment.
*Demonstrated ability to establish effective working relationship
with key investigators in assigned TA.
*Medical and/or scientific expertise within a disease area preferred.
This Medical Scientific Expert role would essentially be a 6 month contract with a view to be extended.
