Chemistry – Assistant Professorship. The Department of Chemistry at Washington University in St. Louis seeks to make a faculty appointment to begin in the fall of 2013 in any area of organic chemistry, including biological and materials chemistry. The position is available at the assistant-professor level. The duties of the position include teaching assigned courses, applying successfully for extramural research grants, conducting research, publishing research results in peer-reviewed journals, advising students, performing assigned committee work, and participating in appropriate university service. The development and maintenance of an outstanding research program and excellence in the teaching of core chemistry courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels are required. Candidates must have a Ph.D. at the time of appointment.
