Our client is an established manufacturer of personal care and household cleaning products sector based in the North West. They have an opportunity for an experienced Development Manager to join their R&D team.

 

As an integral member of the R & D team you will develop commercial products – from laboratory scale through to commercialisation -  in response to customer requests and this will include the formulation of fragrances, moisturisers, surfactants and disinfectants, etc..  You will be responsible for research and development, Quality Control, raw material evaluation, product stability, safety and validation. In addition you will develop test methods for new materials and products as well as ensuring that products/projects are delivered on budget and accordance with product claims as well as ensuring in that products are manufactured in accordance with current compliance and regulatory requirements.

 

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent in chemistry or closely related discipline and possess experience within the personal care and household goods industry and a background in medical devices would be preferable.

 

Familiar with GMP you should be experienced in the management of development projects within an FMCG and have demonstrable hands on skills and ability. You will be forward thinking, self-motivated and enthusiastic, have excellent communication skills, organisation skills and project management skills.

 

Position: Permanent

 

Location: Cheshire / North Wales / Merseyside commutable

 

Salary:  to £38K
