As a Raw Material Researcher, you will:
Identify suppliers’ raw materials, submit them to laboratories and ensure integration with a view to marketing products that are effective, safe and innovative. Develop a strategy through the identification of the key players in Brazil (local and international suppliers) and put in place the related action (collaboration setting up, portfolio assessment, exclusivity evaluation) together with transversal and international teams. Negotiate confidentiality, evaluation or collaboration agreements with key strategic suppliers, with the support of international business development team and local legal department Develop and maintain supplier relations with the aim of harnessing new raw materials and identifying possible collaborations for the priority projects of L’Oréal Research and Innovation Express the needs of laboratories in supplier proposals and ensure they promote a cross-disciplinary approach to make the most of raw materials Identify emerging technologies to adapt them to the cosmetics industry and integrate them into projects for all business lines (technology transfer) Coordinate and follow-up the progress of raw materials under evaluation, with all the stakeholders (laboratories, technical experts, safety and performance evaluation, regulatory, IP and legal teams) Conduct project coordination at international level by creating all technical and business network which is needed. Write compiling results for internal teams and give progress updates about raw materials to suppliers Guarantee the industrial and commercial accessibility of raw materials in partnership with purchasing and industry Who are you?
You have technical knowledge and previous experience on raw materials and applications. Preferably on at least one of the following classes of RM: polymers, surfactants, silicones, fatty acid compounds, minerals.
You are English fluent
You have excellent communication skills
You have the ability to manage transversal projects with different and international stakeholders (suppliers, laboratories and other support teams)
You have project management experience
Expertise in formulation of performance materials is a plus
