Protein Engineering Scientists and Molecular Biologists

We are always on the look-out for dynamic, dedicated scientists, both senior and junior, to strengthen our Protein Science team.

  • PROTEIN ENGINEERING SCIENTISTS

Candidates should have technical proficiency in the areas of molecular biology (cloning, site directed mutagenesis) and/or protein biochemistry (expression, purification, characterisation, ligand-ligand interaction screening). Experience in DNA library construction/screening using phage display and Biacore or Octet is particularly desirable.

The role will be primarily bench-based and would appeal to enthusiastic candidates keen to contribute openly in a team environment.

Applicants should have a BSc., MSc. or PhD. in protein engineering/biochemistry/molecular biology or in a related discipline.

  • MOLECULAR BIOLOGISTS

Candidates will play a key role in performing dedicated downstream molecular biology projects that will contribute directly to enhancing the company’s expanding T cell cloning pipeline. They should have a sound understanding of molecular biology techniques, with hands-on experience in performing, optimising and troubleshooting PCR. In addition, the candidate would be expected to develop skills in the area of single cell isolation and contamination-sensitive RNA/DNA manipulation. Previous experience in this area would be an advantage but is not essential as comprehensive training will be provided.

Excellent organisational and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to plan and execute experiments and to assimilate and present data with great attention to detail.

Applicants will possess a BSc. or MSc. in molecular biology or a related discipline, with practical molecular biology experience.

If you would like to work in a friendly, dynamic environment developing novel therapeutic research programmes please send your application (copy of C.V. and short covering letter) to Mrs. C. Canuto, Immunocore Limited, 101 Park Drive, Milton Park, Abingdon, Oxfordshire, OX14 4RY, or by email by clicking on the 'Apply' button.

Salaries are competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience; benefits include pension scheme and private health insurance.
