JOB OVERVIEW                                                                               Salary: $90,000 – 175,000

 

FSNS is hiring a Director or Vice President of Sales depending on the individual’s experience. The “Position” will report to the CEO.  The “Position” will manage all of the Business Development Managers (BDMs). The focus is to develop each BDM into an excellent sales person.  Depending on the candidate’s experience, the “Position” may also manage the marketing and customer service departments.  The “Position” will be accountable for goals and meeting annual budget expectations for each BDM.  The main preferred trait for this position is to be a great mentor/trainer and manager of the sales staff.  

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Oversee operations of the sales team

  • Monitor and track the weekly success of each BDM

  • This role is responsible for ensuring the team maintains high standards of customer service

  • Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate the BDMs

  • Establish short and long-range goals for each BDM

  • Identify and develop new business and revenue opportunities for the company

  • Develop training plans and overall sales department plan

  • Develop and manage department budgets and oversee the commission plan

  • Accompany sales team members on company visits. Attend tradeshows and other industry events to develop new business and maintain existing customers.

  • Extensive travel

     

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position has direct supervisory responsibilities

  • Carries out all responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, standard operating procedures and best practices

  • Assists in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations at all times.

     

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales or related field; Master’s degree preferred

  • 10 years of related sales and marketing experience required

  • 5 years of Sales Management experience including managing staff, goal setting, sales and forecasting plan writing required; 10 years preferred

  • Experience in food industry preferred

  • Experience in strategic planning and execution. Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management. Knowledge of structuring sales quota goals and revenue expectations

  • Experience in managing a CRM system.
