The Senior Research Technologist in the Pharmaceutical Sciences Department is mainly responsible for assisting the principal investigator and postdoctoral fellows with the data collection and analysis for research projects related to pharmacogenomics. He/she is expected to perform or participate in wet lab experiments using a variety of model systems, and also to directly work with patient materials for translational research projects (e.g., sample collection and processing in the context of clinical trials). Other duties include maintaining efficient laboratory operations, and training other laboratory personnel and activities directed by supervisor in order to meet the goals and objectives of the department.Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree in an appropriate scientific field and a minimum of three (3) years relevant post-degree experience in a similar research environment is required.
Master's degree in an appropriate scientific field and a minimum of two (2) years relevant post-degree experience in a similar research environment is preferred.Minimum Experience:
No experience is required with a PhD in a related field.
Previous background in molecular biology (e.g. cloning, RNA and protein analyses) and cell biology (e.g. cell culture, shRNA transfection, drug sensitive testing) is highly preferred.
Efficient and effective communication and strong organizational skills are essential for this position.EEO:
