The Director-Preclinical Imaging Center provides overall leadership and direction for the Preclinical Imaging Core. Assists research personnel in planning, scheduling, training for, and conducting imaging experiments. Maintains extensive knowledge of preclinical imaging technology and emerging applications. Supervises activities of imaging specialists, technicians and technical support staff. Employs and maintains effective communication with investigators, imaging support staff, and the cores oversight group. Works with institutional research community to develop and optimize imaging experiments that best address research questions. Helps develop annual budgets and recommendations for future capital acquisitions.Minimum Education:
PhD in a relevant scientific field required.Minimum Experience:
Five (5) years of postgraduate research experience in relevant aspects of mammalian biology, pharmacology or cancer-related field required.
Research experience must involve rodents and include at least three (3) years of postgraduate experience with relevant preclinical imaging modalities.
Management experience highly preferred.EEO:
