Trainee Regulatory Affairs Officer-Chemistry-£20k-£22k-Hants-REACH-CLP-GHS

A rare opportunity for a Trainee Regulatory Affairs Officer has become available with a leading food manufacturer in Hampshire. They are offering a recent graduate the opportunity to join the compliance team and develop their regulatory and compliance career from scratch! You will be given all necessary training and as such they are happy to receive applications from recent graduates with no prior experience. Any experience in REACH, CLP or GHS would be highly desirable but otherwise preference will be given to recent chemistry graduates.

Due to the location of this site you must have your own vehicle to commute to the site.

Job Role

To provide technical expertise to ensure the business remains compliant with global chemical regulations and to ensure the production of safe, legal products to the correct quality.

Essential Requirements

*Graduate (BSc) or equivalent level, ideally in a Chemical science discipline
*An analytical approach to work and proven attention to detail
*Proficient in Microsoft Office.
*Ability to prioritise work
*Good organisational & administration skills
*Rigorous attention to detail, accurate and consistent
*Ability to communicate to all levels of the business
*Understands department's key performance indicators, how to influence them and how to contribute to Company goals
*Is helpful in sharing knowledge/expertise with others
*Keeps up-to-date with new developments in their area of work
*Maintains knowledge about working practices, processes and systems related to the job
*Understands and complies with the organisation's policies and procedures
*Uses contacts within the Company appropriately

Desirable Experience

*Knowledge and understanding of chromatography
*Good understanding of global chemical legislation including GHS, CLP and REACH
*Experience of supply classification and authoring of safety data sheets
*Knowledge of dangerous goods transportation
*Demonstrable experience in food/flavour legislation
