Contract Database Developer - London - Python PostgreSQL
Rate £350 - £400 Daily
Length 1-2 weeks

A short-term role in is available, in Shoreditch, for an experienced Database Developer to join a very exciting company within the Bioinformatics/ Life Sciences industry. The team is made up of scientists, engineers, designers and developers, all experts in their field.

This is a short-term contract expected to last 1 week. The database used is PostgreSQL and they code in Python (Pyramid/ Flask) organised into an ecosystem of microservices. You will create server side API's, db schema, tables, indexes and build CRUD API for interface.


*2+ years experience in Python
*2+ years experience in PostgreSQL
*Experience with C/C++
*2+ years experience building server-side API's
*Experience with SQL toolkit
*Familiarity with schema design solutions such as Marshmallow
*Familiar with dimensional data modelling
*Ability to write efficient SQL statements

You must be able to start immediately. This role will involve communicating with scientists, product managers and Bioinformaticians.
