Clinical Programmer - Hertfordshire

Competitive salary, 6-month contract, possibility of home-working!

A new Clinical Programmer is required to join one of the top ten global pharmaceutical companies that provide products within oncology, neuroscience, immunology, haematology and many other therapeutic areas. They have an excellent reputation by continuously delivering high-quality results on a national and international level.

As a Clinical Programmer you will be joining the Pharmaceuticals Division, and you will be responsible for the development and deployment of study databases and tools for data capture/cleaning, as well as the development of clinical review reports and data transformation for analysis and review.

Further responsibilities as a Clinical Programmer include:

-Reviewing and providing feedback to Scope of Work for outsourced studies with respect to the DDE sub-function's areas of responsibilities
-Complex deliverables for sub-functions of one or more studies
-Contributing or leading local and sub-functional working groups and contributing to cross-functional or global initiatives
-Communicating ideas, project goals and status of work, presenting independently at department meetings
-Setting targeted timeframes for deliverables as well as evaluating probability, impact and priorities of risks and implementing mitigation plan

An ideal Clinical Programmer should have:

-BA/BSc degree or equivalent
-Moderate industry-related experience with extensive practical and theoretical expertise within his or her sub-function
-In-depth understanding of the sub-function's business and the greater CDM organization
-Significant working experience with CDISC, ADaM, SQL, PL/SQL, C# OR SAS, RAVE Building with experience in Clinical Data areas (clinical data management systems and processes)
-Ability to work independently, with strong planning and organisational skills
