£48,920 per annum + 25 days Annual leave + Pension Scheme
The Veterinary Medicines Directorate (VMD) is an Executive Agency of the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) and is responsible for ensuring the safety, quality and efficacy of veterinary medicines in the UK within the statutory framework of various EC Directives and Regulations, and the Veterinary Medicines Regulations.
We currently have a vacancy for a Grade 7 Safety Assessor based in Addlestone, Surrey. The core work of this post is to assess the user, consumer and environmental safety data submitted in support of national and European applications for pharmaceutical products and feed additives.
The applicant must have a life sciences degree and either a higher degree in a relevant field (e.g. toxicology or pharmacology) or proven relevant experience. Such experience may have been gained either from within a relevant industry, e.g. pharmaceuticals, pesticides, biocides and chemicals, or from work within a regulatory environment, e.g. an assessment role in applications for product approvals.
