Business Develop Manager - Life Sciences - Food Testing - Staffordshire - £55k + (Uncapped Bonus) + Benefits.

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development Manager with a proven track record in sales within life sciences to who is able to manage the whole sales process and act as principal customer relationship manager. Working with internal and external stake holders to identify, develop and expand new business opportunities.

Job Responsibilities:

This role will include new business generation, account management, proposal development, quote and contract tracking. You will be working closely with the Site Manager and the other operations team to assist in the delivery of the business strategy, initiatives and income objectives. Drawing on your experience you will bring fresh ideas how to drive and grow business.

Key Responsibilities:

*Act as first point of contact for new business opportunities
*Prospect for new opportunities with existing and target customers
*Negotiate and close sales opportunities
*Prepare, organise and deliver meaningful customer presentations
*Encourage long-term relationships with key decision makers, through regular contact, meetings and advice, with a key focus on face to face activity
*Develop mutually beneficial partnerships and nurture relationships with customers to secure and increase repeat business
*Maintain an extended internal and external network to enhance services, providing creative and bespoke solutions to suit individual customer requirements
*Provide support for the company's marketing strategy

Skills and Qualifications Required:

*A proven track record in business development
*Strategic business awareness and results orientated
*Ability to work independently and under pressure without supervision
*Excellent communication skills with a high degree of professionalism
*Strong, and effective presentation skills; ability to convincingly present features and benefits of service to customers
*Ability to effectively interact with internal and external customers, on both a one-to-one and group basis, always in a positive and cooperative manner
*Ability to have high level, technical discussions with senior decision makers
*Expert in standard computer software applications, with a good eye for detail
*Knowledge of relevant scientific/medical terminology
*Excellent written and oral communication skills
*Excellent organisational and planning skills

A full UK driving license is essential as the role will be home based with a reporting office in Staffordshire, but will require travel throughout the UK and internationally.

Salary: £55k + (Uncapped Bonus) + Benefits - Permanent
