Summary:

The Staff Pharmacist is primarily responsible for all drug distribution and control activities from the assigned pharmacy area. Evaluates, processes, and monitors physician orders for patient medications and other pharmaceutical supplies, serves as a reliable source of drug information, and maintains computer records and patient profiles. Assists in drug inventory maintenance, assists in quality improvement activities and directs Pharmacy Technicians in their daily activities.

Minimum Education:

Graduate of a College of Pharmacy accredited by the American Council of Pharmacy Education and eligible for pharmacy licensure in Tennessee

Minimum Experience:

Hospital pharmacy practice experience or a Doctor of Pharmacy degree preferred

Required Credentials:

(LC: PHARM-TN) Licensure by the Tennessee State Board of Pharmacy
