We are looking to recruit a Team Leader/Project Coordinator with broad knowledge and experience with analytical techniques and classical analysis, offering a Permanent position in the Manchester area, with a competitive salary, and the chance to join a large, successful company.
 

Job Responsibilities
Our client provides analytical services to customers in the pharmaceutical, healthcare and speciality chemical sectors in a GxP regulated laboratory. The laboratory is currently undergoing a period of strong growth and seeking to recruit a number of scientific professionals.

We are seeking to recruit a Team Leader/Project Coordinator to work at their laboratory in Manchester. The successful candidate will have proven experience in the leadership and coordination of a team of analytical chemists.

This is a hands-on role requiring regular interaction with clients, scientific and regulatory staff within the laboratory and the candidate must be able to demonstrate a broad knowledge of analytical chemistry and expertise in classical analysis, chromatography and spectroscopy.

Job Qualifications
*BSc/MSc/PhD is Chemistry (or related scientific discipline)
*A minimum of 5 years proven experience in the leadership and coordination of a team of analytical chemists.
*Broad knowledge of analytical chemistry and expertise in classical analysis (Pharmacopeia testing), chromatography (HPLC, GCMS, GC) and spectroscopy (FTIR, NMR, MS)
*Able to demonstrate ability to communicate effectively with clients, regulatory staff, scientists and project leaders from other teams in the laboratory.

*Experience of working in a GxP regulatory laboratory, desirable.
*Good practical laboratory and problem solving skills.
*Strong interpersonal and communication skills with good attention to detail.
