Project Manager - Life Sciences- West Yorkshire

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join a leading and expanding life sciences company based in West Yorkshire. As an organisation they are developing a cutting-edge technology that has applications across diagnostics, drug discovery and therapeutics. With recent highly successful milestones reached, and collaborations formed, it is an ideal time to be joining them.

As Senior Project Manager you will report directly to the Chief Technology Officer. You will be responsible for managing the delivery of services to external customers, and some internal projects. This will mainly involve the day to day management of project teams and also the quality management of services. The role will focus on managing operations within the project teams. Key responsibilities will include:

-Delivering projects on-time to the required quality standards.
-Line management of the Protein Production and Validation Teams, which have 6-10 people.
-Managing the day to day aspects of the project management teams and all outsourced work.
-Successfully managing and allocating resources to each project team.
-Working with the CTO to agree project milestones.
-Coordinating closely with the Commercial Officer and Pipeline Manager.
-Achieving agreed quality standards and implementing any changes needed.
-Member of the Quality Management Committee whereby you will report on quality management and custom services.

To be considered for this position candidates must have strong leadership skills, and a demonstrable track record of project management or study management/directorship (ideally 8-10 years+) within a life sciences or contract research environment. Candidates will have a strong background within science and may have worked in areas such as assay development, antibody research or protein sciences etc. This scientific background will be coupled with experience of customer interactions and working with a quality framework. Candidates at Principle Scientist level, who have significant project management experience will also be considered.
