An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual with a Scientific PhD to take a step up into the role of a Technical Sales Specialist within a leading Scientific Software company. As the Technical Sales Specialist you will be responsible for managing key accounts and developing new business through consultative sales.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

As the Technical Sales Specialist you will be home based, report to the Commercial Director and will be primarily responsible for the following:

1. Manage existing customer accounts through regular contact with Lab Managers and KOL's, as well as creating new business development opportunities to increase revenue.

2. Support with Marketing activities including writing content writing, and attending and presenting at conferences.

3. Be an expert in the LIMS and the principal point of contact for customers, delivering consultations and solution based selling. Have technical discussions and delivers demonstrations within the lab when needed.

4. Issue quarterly sales forecasts to the Commercial Director including competitor analysis, to help build sales strategy.


ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Technical Sales Specialist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant PhD in a Science subject, including Biotechnology, Chemistry or Life Sciences.

2. Proven industry experience in a lab, with some commercial responsibility is very desirable, with an understanding of the sales process. As is an understanding of Quality Control.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience within the lab using LIMS is essential
