The UK's National Physical Laboratory (NPL) sits right at the intersection between scientific discovery and real world application, one of the world’s top three National Measurement Institutes.
Own, define and provide leadership throughout the product lifecycle for a portfolio of products and services within our Health & Life Sciences Sector. These are all of high impact and commercial value and deliver market leading solutions to customers' priority problems.
You will ensure that our New Product Introduction activity hits the mark. Products and services must be ‘pulled through’ from the underpinning science and commercialised as quickly and effectively as possible. Merging business, technology and customer experience, your activities will range from tactical to strategic, defining the 'why', 'what,' and 'when' of the product.
A key member of the measurement services team, you will focus on developing new products including packaged consultancy offerings and new testing and analysis services aimed at the Health and Life Sciences markets.
Networking with customers and stakeholders you will act as their voice throughout the product lifecycle. You must champion the NPI process across the business and collaborate with our scientists, project teams, marketing and business development and marketing teams to develop exciting novel business models in this target-driven role. Day in, day out you will be interfacing with scientists, marketing, business development and government.
Your product management experience within the Health and Life Sciences markets should be supported by a strong and relevant track record in all aspects. Problem solving, time management, decision making and people influencing skills will be vital as will written and verbal communication and confidence in presenting to a technical and non-technical audience. MS/BS degree in Science, Engineering is preferred.
