The UK's National Physical Laboratory (NPL) sits right at the intersection between scientific discovery and real world application, one of the world’s top three National Measurement Institutes.

Own, define and provide leadership throughout the product lifecycle for a portfolio and services of measurement services products within our Environment and Energy Sector. These are all of high impact and commercial value and deliver market leading solutions to customers' priority problems.

You will ensure that our New Product Introduction activity hits the mark. Products and services must be ‘pulled through’ from the underpinning science and commercialised as quickly and effectively as possible. Merging business, technology and customer experience, your activities will range from tactical to strategic, defining the 'why', 'what,' and 'when' of the product.

A key member of the measurement services team, you will focus on developing new services aimed at the Environmental and Energy markets.

Networking with customers and stakeholders you will act as their voice throughout the product lifecycle. You must champion the NPI process across the business and collaborate with our scientists, project teams, marketing, and business development to develop exciting novel business models in this target-driven role. Day in, day out you will be interfacing with scientists, marketing, business development and government.

Your product management experience within the Environment and Energy markets should be supported by a strong and relevant track record in all aspects. Problem solving, time management, decision making and people influencing skills will be vital as will written and verbal communication and confidence in presenting to a technical and non-technical audience. MS/BS degree in Science, Engineering is preferred.
