Purpose of the role:

To provide day-to-day support for the Division Advanced Therapies (AT) for its quality management systems. This will include the administration, monitoring, review and revision of the quality systems in place within AT, so that the requirements for accreditation and certification under the respective quality systems are met.

Whilst many of the duties are common across the quality systems in place in the Division, the emphasis, in terms of the importance of the different elements, is different for each section. 

Person requirements:


A degree in Life Science is desirable or equivalent qualifications or relevant work experience

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in quality assurance is essential and in particular familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 17025, GMP, HTA or CE marking will be highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in microbiology, cell biology or a related area, gained in the pharmaceutical, biomedical or biotechnological industries. 
  • Candidates will need to have excellent administrative and communication skills, be multitasking with good time management skills. Previous experience in organising and presenting training would be beneficial.
  • Experience of cell culture and/or molecular biology techniques will also be valuable.
