We have an exciting opportunity for a QC Analytical Chemist based at our Lower Hutt site in Wellington. This role is part of our GlycoSyn group, which specialises in the pilot manufacture of complex active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) for human clinical trials.

This is an early to mid-career opportunity that will involve the analysis of raw materials, intermediates and APIs to support cGMP pharmaceutical pilot scale manufacture at GlycoSyn, focussing on quality and optimum delivery to clients.

The successful applicant will possess:

  • Experience in the use of chromatography to determine the purity of organic compounds.
  • Attention to detail and precision
  • Knowledge of the operation of modern chromatographic instruments and columns
  • A thorough practical and academic background, to at least tertiary level, in chemistry
  • Proven ability to work within a cGMP analytical environment
  • Experience in general analytical methods, including but not limited to:
  • Liquid Chromatograph
  • Gas Chromatography
  • Infra-red Spectroscopy
  • Titration (Including Karl-Fischer)
  • Working Knowledge of Waters® Empower® software is an asset
  • Experience in the use of Microsoft® Office software. i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook.
